Shanell Townsend

Instructional Coach - Las Vegas

Shanell Townsend, Instructional Coach, joined the Las Vegas team in 2019. She comes to Reading in Motion with over 17 years of experience in the field of education. Prior to Reading in Motion, she spent 11 years as an ECE Administrator. She has also taught kindergarten and prekindergarten. She has her Early Childhood Teaching license and the highest ECE certification from the Nevada Registry. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development from Southern New Hampshire University. Shanell also has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University. Shanell is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership at the University of Las Vegas. She is passionate about education, early literacy, and helping students and educators grow. Throughout her work with students, she has sparked improved self-confidence and a love of reading for all. In her free time, she can be found spending time with her husband and her three incredibly busy children.
