Bernadette Diaz

Extra Dosage Instructor

Bernadette Diaz has been working at Reading in Motion as an Extra Dosage Instructor since 2012. She loves the positive energy of first graders and is grateful to be immersed in their world where simple things are exciting and worthy of curiosity and awe. An educator for over
25 years, Bernadette has served young people as a classroom teacher, literacy instructor, tutor, and mentor. She holds a Master’s of Education degree in Teaching and Curriculum and is a certified reading teacher. In addition to her work with Reading in Motion, Bernadette works as a reading teacher with Cluster Tutoring, a community based organization serving students in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. Her hope is to build lifelong readers wherever she goes.
