Reading In Motion Leadership Update
December 15, 2020
Dear Reading In Motion supporters,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I write to inform you of an important change occurring at Reading In Motion.
Over the past several months the Board of Directors and leadership team have diligently explored how Reading In Motion can continue to thrive and grow as an organization in light of the pandemic-driven need for responsive, flexible, and technology-driven education solutions. We have determined that new leadership is an imperative step in ensuring that we continue to remain a relevant resource to our schools, teachers, students, and now parents and other educators. As of December 2020, the Reading In Motion Board of Directors has appointed Gabe Gonzalez as Interim Executive Director. We are incredibly grateful to former Executive Director, Karl Androes, for his vision and unwavering commitment to students as well as his 37 years of service to the organization.
Gabe Gonzalez joined Reading In Motion in 2018 and led our expanding work in Las Vegas as the Regional Executive Director. He has a demonstrated commitment to leveraging education to improve the lives of children. Prior to joining RIM, Gabe oversaw a large, multi-state division at K12.Inc, an online learning platform. We are pleased he has accepted the role of Interim Executive Director, as we work together to strengthen the future of our impactful organization.
We’ll be sharing more information about Gabe in the coming weeks and look forward to the exciting changes ahead at Reading In Motion. If you have any questions we invite you to reach out to Gabe directly.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with you and thank you for your enduring support of Reading in Motion. Together, we can ensure every student is a lifelong reader, especially those in our most vulnerable communities.
Sincerely,
Jill Fraggos
Chair
