Mr. Dineen, a seasoned educator, taught kindergarten for the first time in 20 years this school year at Manierre Elementary School. He says his students are like “little sponges.” This is what motivates him to keep offering new and exciting learning activities. We are so impressed with all the ways Mr. Dineen implements the Reading In Motion program in his classroom. “Currently, we are really into making books for the classroom,” he shares. “They feature everyone’s art and writing. It’s wonderful to see students sitting as a group during independent reading time, taking turns reading the books.” Music and movement are also a big part of the classroom’s schedule as his students learn to embrace new literacy skills. Mr. Dineen tells us the program has allowed his struggling students the opportunity to shine too. Thank you, Mr. Dineen, for bringing your passion for teaching to these little ones!
