Extra Dosage Instructor (EDI)

Direct Service, mandatory fingerprinting, must commit to at least 16hr/month. Volunteer would implement additional Reading In Motion curriculum with kindergarten or 1st grade students, small group work, work directly with teachers and students in classroom. All necessary resources and training are provided by Reading In Motion staff.

Organizational Tasks

Fill Reading In Motion’s organizational need. Perfect for someone looking to donate their time with a busier schedule, especially for individuals looking for experience in finance/admin work.

Approx. 5hr/month


SEASONAL ADMIN WORK :: April ­- September. Duties include: inventory, getting products to schools and market computer literate, basic entry level Microsoft office suite tasks. 2-­3 days a week ­as needed.

RESEARCH -­ market value research. 1 day a week, long term volunteers.

-evaluating competition (other literacy organizations)
-data entry



Special Events
Events are typically held for Reading In Motion Board members and supporters.
-volunteer responsibilities include: greeting, check in, selling raffle tickets. Volunteer will help with expansion of fundraising throughout the event.

Generally 6­-10 volunteers for each event for a 2-­3 hour commitment. Volunteers are invited to remain at the event as guests after their shift has ended.
